missing drivers in ubuntu 13.04 installed alongside windows 8
I have tried installing Linux mint 14, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and 13.04, all three of them in my laptop that originally came with windows 8. However, in all three operating systems I am unable to run wifi, g++ compiler and a bunch of other programs. Can anyone please tell me what possibly could go wrong cause I am not new to linux and I have never experienced this problem.
My laptop specifications are : 4 gb ram Intel i-3 3110 Intel HD 4000
